Some concepts of ma (timing) to think of when you practice these waza (techniques).
Sen no Sen
Attack before or just as enemey begins their attack.
Sen
Interrupt an attack with your own.
Go no Sen
Attack as you avoid the enemy's cut.

The aspects of Sen are my limited understandings, and are not to be taken as gospel, but more of a fun way to think about the spirit behind the waza. Similarly, the descriptions written here are highly condensed, and serve more as a bit of storytelling behind the waza to aid students on their journey.
Seiza no Bu
MAE (Sen no Sen) - You sense intent from your enemy, and take initiative.
MIGI (Sen no Sen) - Sit facing right of shinzen, cut the enemy to your left.
HIDARI (Sen no Sen) - Sit facing left of shinzen, cut the enemy to your right.
USHIRO (Sen no Sen) - Enemy is behind, turn around and cut them.
YAEGAKI (Sen no Sen) - Cut and pursue enemy, then deny their final attack.
UKENAGASHI (Sen) - Receive enemy's cut with your sword, then return with a cut.
KAISHAKU (Coup d'grace)* - Assist your peer and wish them peace at their final moments.
TSUKEKOMI (Go no Sen) - Lure your enemy into an attack, evade them, and cut them down.
TSUKIKAGE (Sen) - Interrupt an enemy's cut by slicing into their arms.
OIKAZE (Sen no Sen) - Pursue your enemy, then cut them as they turn to confront you.
NUKIUCHI (Sen no Sen) - Interrupt a potential cut and cut your enemy down.
